Banda Neira rich in amazing marine species

HUNDREDS of scripts, thousands of sentences and millions of words have been put together to describe Banda Neira, but its splendid underwater garden will always be a magnet for everyone's heart and eyes.

You will feel like you missed something if you go to Ambon but not to Banda Neira, a neighboring group of islands. Banda Neira is historically part of the Spice Islands of Maluku. Being part of a string of islands southeast of Ambon, it is another beautiful place, historically known as the initial spot that attracted the Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish and French at various times. This is proven by the logs of their voyages kept in several museums in those countries. Banda Neira is a diver's haven. Even though it's remote, the cost of diving in the area is a little less than the cost of similar water activities offered in Raja Ampat in Papua.

Ambon offers beautiful and alluring beaches

AMBON Manise, the tagline of Ambon meaning "Beautiful Ambon," is really meaningful when you see and enjoy the beauty of the beaches along the city's coast.

For beach enthusiasts, a trip to Ambon is a great choice. Ambon, the capital of Maluku, has the beaches of Natsepa, Marthafhons Cape, Pintu Kota and Liang, which are very attractive. For those taking short trip, like a weekend break, visiting Ambon is a pleasant experience.

A spot within easy reach of the city is Tanjung Marthafons or Marta Alfons Cape, which is located slightly across from the city of Ambon. Visitors can rent a traditional boat from a fisherman or take a ferry to reach the cape in minutes. In Tanjung Marthafons, visitors are spoiled by the view of a bay with a beautiful sandy beach. Although it is popular among locals, the beauty of the Tanjung Marthafons always attracts photographers. The cape is stunning from any angle for any lenses and for any eyes.

Those staying in Ambon can take a 40-kilometer drive to Central Maluku. During the approximately 30-minute drive, visitors can enjoy a green vista on the right and left sides of the road heading to Liang Beach, which is also known as Hunumua Beach. Shortly before arriving at the beach, visitors can stop by at Natsepa Beach, where many vendors and warung sell fresh fruit and rujak (savory fruit salad). Although the road to Natsepa and Liang is not very wide, it is smooth and flat, making for a comfortable ride.

Optimism brings fresh air to property sector

INDONESIA’S property sector, which was badly hit by the Asian economic crisis, has started to rebound this year thanks to the country’s improving economy. Several major developers like Agung Podomoro, Agung Sedayu, Ciputra, the Sinar Mas Group, Lippoland and Summarecon Agung have not only started new property projects but also promoting their products to take advantage of the growing property market. “We launched residences and two clusters in April of this year. About 475 units have been sold,” said Summarecon Bekasi’s promotion officer Agus.

Besides residences, Summarecon Bekasi also offers a commercial area covering Summarecon Mall Bekasi, a hotel, an office park, a trade center, shop-houses and a fresh market. The modern township will be ready for use in June 2012.

Summarecon Agung, also known as an aggressive developer, managed to attract a huge crowd during the recent launch of its Summarecon Bekasi. The modern township is complete with various facilities to support residents’ needs, from residential area, commercial area and public facilities.
